Macbook

Today, I received the Mac OS X Snow Leopard CD which is sent from Singapore. I ordered the CD in August for USD10 (RM40) during promotion upgrade from Apple.

I will upgrade my current OS X 10.5.8 to Snow Leopard and can’t wait to see its performance on my Macbook Pro 17. I will update later. Stay tune…

Update [05-Sep-209]

Upgrade installation went smoothly. It took almost 45 minutes to complete. My Macbook Pro is running on Intel Duo Core 2.66 with 4MB of RAM.

Below is the installation steps.

  1. Insert the installation CD
  2. Click the Install Mac OS X icons
  3. Follow the normal installation steps
  4. The system will reboot during the installation process. Mine reboot after 15 minutes of installation process even though the installation clock shows 45 minutes to completion. DO NOT press the shutdown button and let the installation proceed
  5. After the first reboot, the system will continue with the installation. Once completed, the system will reboot again

That’s about it! So what is change in this new release… Let me play around with it and I will report back.
